X Legacy was created in March of 2007 when former Coldsun bass player Jimmy got together with friend and drummer Greg. The two were searching for a guitarist when they came across George on craig\'s list. George was brought into the band along with guitarist Andy. After about a month of pratice it become clear that Andy was not right for the band and the search for another guitarist began. A few months later the band welcomed guitarist Cris into the band, after his band White Raven parted ways. Drawing from their many influences the band has managed to write the next wave of American metal. With their blazing guitar riffs, thunderous bass lines and dynamic drum beats, the band\'s sound can be described in one word, metal.

Ascending Idols was formed a little over 2 months ago when two friends who shared a common love for Classic Rock, Hair Metal, and Modern Rock decided they were tired of todays spoon-fed melodies. Claret is a currently a 3 piece band (lead vox, bass, guitar) out of the twin cities area. We are straight up rock with all original music, currently trying to branch out into bars and other night clubs... so are not afraid to work on some covers. We are looking for a committed drummer (that can play to a click track - or willing to learn) who wants to take this all the way and be a musician for life. We all have jobs as a means to a living, but we are all willing to drop them if the right opportunity comes along. We travel a little in the summers for festivals, etc, but as a general rule do not travel outside the twin cities area unless we are getting paid. We want someone with the drive to make this band a success and someone who loves simply loves to play. Being extremely passionate about our music and bringing a driving stage show is what we are known by our fans for. The 3 of us are close friends who spend a lot of time together because we believe that creates very strong chemistry on stage and off that the audience can feel and we want someone who is friendly and outgoing to be a part of the Claret family. As far as past achievements... we have played in the Club 3 Degrees (mpls, mn) band tournament a few different years now. At the beginning of the tournament that runs from October to May each year, there are about 100 bands in 4-5 different categories. In the 07-08 tournament, Claret placed 1st over our category (rock) and 3rd overall. The 2 that placed above us were a pop chick and an urban-hip hop group. We caught the eye of some industry people and they gave us the advice to keep doing what we are doing and a label will come to us. We have recently released our first EP with 7 songs on it. At our last big show opening for Project 86, we sold 37 cd's in one night. Also, we have placed 1st in a few smaller tournaments around the cities.
